Our Ward Captains
Introducing our Ward Captains - your local representatives bringing Reform's vision to every area.

Kai Meade
Bulmershe & Coronation
I’ve been part of this community since early childhood, and it has shaped who I am today. This is where I grew up, where I live, and where my family has built its life. That long-standing connection drives my commitment to public service and meaningful improvement for Woodley.
My priorities focus on practical, positive change: revitalising the precinct to create a vibrant local environment; ensuring road repairs and safety measures are delivered effectively; supporting the return of essential financial services through a dedicated banking hub; and pursuing fair, practical parking reform that works for residents and businesses.
With a commitment to transparency, accountability, and practical solutions, I’m determined to help make Woodley an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Church
I'm a young professional who's lived near Church Ward for over a decade. I'm standing because residents deserve better.
Church Ward is Reading's second-most deprived ward. Yet while you live with the consequences, the council ignores you and wastes your money on fashionable causes instead of what really matters. Shoplifting goes unpunished. Schools underperform. And residents face more 20mph zones instead of enforcing already-existing laws.
My generation has been told to just accept decline as opportunities vanish for us and our parents. I will not. I will put residents first: proper funding for local education, real action on antisocial behaviour, and value for money - not virtue-signalling.
Amy Robins

Hillside
I am Amy Robins and I have been a resident of Shinfield, Reading, for almost five years. I have four children and I work as a partner for a large accountancy firm, specialising in tax.
I believe in the economic changes contained within Reform's currently proposed policies as I believe this will widely improve our economic growth and this will provide improvements across the board and especially for hard working families in the UK. As a mother, prioritising the safety and long term prospects of future generations is something I am very passionate about.
Lance Tyrrill

Loddon
Born and raised in Woodley, I’m married with two children and two step children, and I worry about what legacy we will be leaving them.
That's why I got involved in politics and joined Reform. I'm frustrated with the country's direction and wanted to do something about it.
I'm a positive person and believe Great Britain can be great again. We can do this with smaller government, lower taxes, strong defence, effective policing focused on real crime and schools that teach how to think - not what to think.
Lillie Harris

Maiden Erlegh & Whitegates
I was born in London but have lived in the local area for nearly 45 years. I originally worked as a typist and later a secretary, giving up work to have 2 children, returning to work as a classroom assistant and swimming teacher and later a Customs Officer working at Heathrow Airport until my retirement. I joined Reform UK because I think that the established parties have ignored and betrayed us by opening our borders, the resulting changes are transforming our country for the worse. In addition they have failed us fiscally - wasting huge sums on vanity projects like HS2, senseless foreign aid, and an extreme Net Zero agenda that’s making us all worse off
Parvindar Batth

Shinfield
I am standing to represent the needs of Shinfield residents at Wokingham Borough Council. My beliefs are to instill strong law and order, promptly deal with anti-social behaviour and provide an effective and high standard of education for children of all ages.
My main reason for standing is to be a strong voice for all the residents. My past experiences as Borough Mayor and Executive Member for Environment and Leisure Services would add value to my contributions.
Andy Harris

South Lake
I’m Andy Harris, Branch Chair of Earley and Woodley Branch and Ward Captain for South Lake. I’ve lived in the local area with my family for the last 43 years. I spent my working life in law enforcement - starting as an Officer with HM Customs and Excise and finishing as a Senior Manager in the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), interspersed with periods working for the United Nations and in Aviation Intelligence.
I’m standing for Reform UK because, like many, I believe Britain is broken. We’ve lost control of our borders, and the resulting changes are transforming our country for the worse. In addition, successive Conservative and Labour governments have failed us - wasting billions on vanity projects like HS2, pointless foreign aid, and an extreme Net Zero agenda that’s making us all poorer.
Gerry Allan

Spencers Wood & Swallowfield
I live in Swallowfield and am deeply rooted in our local community. I care strongly about protecting its character and safeguarding local services.
I am a parent of four adult children, all of whom are seriously considering emigrating from the UK. Like many families, we feel the real impact of rising living costs and overstretched public services. Watching the next generation lose confidence in Britain’s future amid declining opportunities has been a powerful motivator for me.
I joined Reform UK because I believe Britain is broken and needs practical, common-sense change. I am standing to challenge waste, demand accountability, and ensure local residents’ voices are genuinely heard - ensuring our area stays a great place for families, businesses, and future generations.
Richie Sahni

Whitley
I have always taken an interest in politics, not as an ideology but as a responsibility. Watching the country struggle with rising costs, strained public services, and a growing disconnect between decision-makers and everyday life convinced me that standing on the sidelines was no longer enough.
I joined Reform because it offered a clear break from politics as usual and a focus on practical solutions. My priorities are simple: fairness in taxation, controlled and lawful immigration, support for small businesses, and public services that work efficiently for the people who fund them. I believe politics should be direct, accountable, and rooted in common sense.
Sol Villaverde

Hawkedon
I work in education, supporting young people and seeing first-hand the challenges facing families locally. This has shaped my focus on school safety and ensuring children feel secure both in and out of the classroom.
I’m actively involved in the community, listening to residents and supporting local initiatives. I’m particularly concerned about ongoing issues at the Moat House Hotel and their impact on the area.
I’m standing as a councillor to be a strong, approachable voice for residents and to deliver practical improvements for our community.
